A Little Rebel Junk Inspiration

Ok, we had SO much fun with this season's Rebel Junk Vintage Markets, and found so many cool things to take home! If you're anything like us, you like to channel your inner 'Fixer Upper' but the actual DOING of the decorating can be intimidating or just mind boggling. We've put together a couple ideas for how to use those Rebel Junk finds in your vintage of farmhouse home during the holidays!

First up, check out this absolutely ADORABLE vintage inspired sled! If you were one of the lucky few to take one home, dress it up with some beautiful greenery, a couple neutral-metallic ornaments, and a seasonal word or affirmation with a touch of sparkle. Is the perfect accent for your banquette, fireplace, or front porch!

The Grain Scoop! I love these so much! You'll usually find them in some sort of metal, often galvanized steel. They're perfect for wall sconces, but seated in a wreath and dressed with ornaments, pinecones, and greenery, they make a showstopping centerpiece. For stability, we recommend removing the handle!

This last one is a two-fer! Chippy window frames were all OVER our Portland market, and my eye landed on more than a couple pairs of truly vintage figure skates. What a sweet nod to a favorite winter pastime this window display is! A fun plaid bow and a couple boughs of evergreens make the perfect attachment point to hang the skates. Whether you mount the window to an exterior wall or make it the focal point of your mantle, this one is a winner!
